Frequently asked questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions. Find Mendly and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then. We don't process cancellations directly, as all billing is managed by Apple.

How do I delete my account?

Inside Mendly, go to Settings (the gear icon on the home screen) and scroll to the bottom. Tap Delete Account and confirm. This permanently deletes your account, all tap data, all voice recordings, and all personal information. This cannot be undone.

What happens to my voice notes if I delete my account?

All voice recordings are permanently deleted from our servers within 30 days of account deletion. If you had opted in to research use of your voice data, your recordings are removed from the research pool immediately when you delete your account.

Is Mendly a therapy app?

No. Mendly is a self-awareness and self-compassion tool. It is not therapy, clinical treatment, psychological diagnosis, or a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are struggling, please reach out to a qualified mental health professional.

How do I opt out of voice data research?

Go to Settings inside the app and toggle off the voice data research option. Your preference takes effect immediately and any recordings previously included in the research pool are removed.

My subscription isn't working — what do I do?

First, try restoring your purchase inside Mendly by going to the subscription screen and tapping Restore Purchase. If that doesn't work, make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID you used to subscribe. If you're still having trouble, email us at chris@getmendly.app and we'll help.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and select the Mendly charge you'd like to dispute.
